2024 Yard Sale
As we wrap up another year of our annual July 4th yard sale, we wanted to give you all a behind the scenes look at what it takes to make it happen. This is our third year doing both the challenge walk and yard sale. 2022 The yard sale tradition actually started because of Tracey (Christa’s bestie and now a team member). Tracey and her sister were clearing out and preparing to sell their childhood home after their father, Harvey, passed away in 2021. So the idea was born that Christa and I could have a yard sale on July 4th at the house with everything left in the house to help with our fundraising in 2022. As many of you may remember, I was skeptical that this would yield anything significant. But boy was I pleasantly surprised when we raised $1,000 in 2022. 2023 In 2023, we joined the long running and popular Fulks Run Ruritan July 4th community yard sale.
